SCOTTISH MISSION SESSION 2015

21st September 2015

Every three years, the Scottish Mission has a Triennial Business Session where local church delegates are able to review what has happened in Scotland and help make plans for the future. The delegates also choose the Sponsors and the Executive Committee for the Scottish Mission for the next three years. Usually this Session would be held in June, but because of the General Conference Session in July, it was postponed until October.

The Triennial Session of the Scottish Mission (SM) will take place on Saturday evening 3 and Sunday 4 October 2015 at the Crieff Seventh-day Adventist church. While of particular interest to Church members in Scotland, friends and expats worldwide also take an interest in the work of the Adventist Church in Scotland and so the report of the past three years' activities is now available online. Download the report here or visit http://adventist.scot/resources and click the link.

Those living in Scotland who are not delegates may wish to raise any questions they may have about the report, or the plans for the future, via their local pastor or a delegate from their church. If appropriate, they can then raise the issue at the Session meetings. Highlights and news from the Session will be reported live on the BUC and Scottish Mission Facebook pages and the BUC twitter feed.

Scottish Mission President, Pastor Bernie Holford encourages, "Please join us in prayer for the proceedings of the Session that the delegates will all be filled with a unity of purpose to work together to proclaim the wonderful message of Christ's soon coming to the world."

Crieff-Parish-ChurchOver the last few years, the Scottish Mission has held a Camp Meeting weekend in the autumn. For this year only, it was felt that these two events should be merged. Our guest speaker for the weekend is Pastor David Neal, the President of the Irish Mission where they have conducted a Mission to the Cities evangelism programme for the past two years with Pastor Mark Finley. All members are invited to the Friday night and Sabbath mini Camp Meeting programme that will run prior to the Session that begins on the Saturday evening.

Watch the Presidents report here.
