Regional Senior Human Resources Manager (HRM)

(candidates must be MCIPD qualified (or above) and have up to date HR practical working knowledge to be considered for the role)

This is a newly created role reporting to the Executive Secretary but will have a strong focus on supporting the Leadership/Management Teams across the North England Conference (NEC) of Seventh Day Adventists in developing and delivering an effective people agenda. This role is responsible for providing a broad-based generalist HR service to the NEC, which will require areas of expertise focussed on the application of HR policies and procedures (inc compliance and governance), workforce planning, succession planning, organisational design, absence management, change management, performance management, Learning and Development, Reward and Recognition and employee relations. This role is a non-constitutional member of the NEC Officers Committee. This role is regional and therefore will be expected to be mobile, so flexibility is key.



The successful candidate will be a baptised member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and preferably have a good understanding of the organisational structure. The successful candidate must be MCIPD qualified (or above) and have a proven track record in delivering a first-class HR generalist service including HR projects within a mainstream environment. The successful candidate will have sound commercial acumen and up to date practical working knowledge in the areas of expertise as outlined above. The successful candidate will have sound numerical and written skills and highly computer literate in word and excel. Current experience in upskilling, coaching and developing Leaders/Managers in matters of people management is required.



The successful candidate must have a wealth of experience within the specified areas of expertise and be able to simultaneously deliver a multitude of HR Services whilst supporting the NEC in driving change within their existing culture. It would be advantageous if the candidate has hands-on experience in supporting Senior personnel in change management around organisational culture and environment. The successful candidate will have sound experience in stakeholder engagement, conflict management and the natural flair to communicate at all levels across the organisation. Solid decision-making skills with the ability to understand and interpret complex data and matters. Capable of supporting multi-discipline teams to deliver Organisational requirements. Experience in managing multiple projects whilst maintaining support for business as usual.



Remuneration and terms of employment will be in keeping with denominational policies and are available on request.
