The recent achievements of four teams from the Scottish Mission are cause for celebration throughout the Scottish Mission. With two Adventurer teams from Glasgow and Aberdeen securing first place, and two Pathfinder teams from Aberdeen and Crieff sealing second place, there's a palpable sense of pride in the successes of these young participants.

The Trans-European Division Final brought together 925 Pathfinders and 850 Adventurers from various European nations to test their knowledge on the books of Joshua and Judges. Hosted by the Netherlands Union Conference and directed by Kevin Johns, the event showcased the collaborative efforts of leaders, parents, and support staff in creating an uplifting and enriching experience centred around the Bible.

Reflecting on the event, Tiffany Mbiba, an accompanying club officer from Glasgow, expressed her delight in the Adventurers' achievements, emphasising the educational and enjoyable nature of the experience for the children and how this experience had allowed the young participants “to be ‘first-hand witnesses’ of the goodness of God”.

Claudiu Popescu, pastor of the Glasgow Church, also expressed his joy in the Glasgow ABE team's success, commending them for their hard work and thanking all leaders, helpers, and parents for their support. He remarked that winning a biblical competition at a young age is remarkable, but the true victory lies in translating that knowledge into community service. Each Adventurer returned from Holland with a meaningful souvenir from the TED, symbolising the strength and courage found in Joshua 1:9.

For sponsors Njay and Mthoko Ndlovu, this event marked a poignant moment as they prepare to step down from their Pathfinder & Adventurer leadership roles after ten years. They reflected on their journey “Almost ten years ago, at our very first Scottish Mission Pathfinder and Adventurer Camporee at Comrie Croft, we launched the Bible Bowl. It was based on the book of Judges. Interestingly, this last Bible Experience included Judges at a time we are drawing a curtain on our involvement with Pathfinders and Adventurers in the Scottish Mission. The centrality of God’s Word in our lives and in the lives of Pathfinders was, once again, highlighted at the recent Bible Experience in Rotterdam. It was a colourful event and both Glasgow and Aberdeen Adventurer teams did very well as did Crieff and Aberdeen Pathfinder teams. We pray that the infectious experience will continue to shape the choices and character building as well as the living out of Kingdom values that God’s word promotes”.

As this year’s Bible Experience concludes, preparations are already underway for next year's testing on Paul's letters to the Romans and Corinthians.
