Paisley Church Launches Urban Centre of Influence

Paisley Seventh-day Adventist Church has launched its Urban Centre of Influence (UCI) initiative with a vibrant, family-focused Mother’s Day celebration.

The Paisley Seventh-day Adventist Church is excited to announce the launch of its Urban Centre of Influence (UCI) initiative. With the goal of making a meaningful impact on the local community, UCI is set to be a platform for various outreach activities that aim to foster relationships, provide support, and share God’s love in tangible ways.

The first event under the UCI banner “Creating Memories: A Mother’s Day Celebration”, took place on the 30th of March. Organised by the Paisley Sabbath School Branch, the event was particularly aimed at engaging the Ukrainian community alongside local families, providing a opportunity to connect, create, and celebrate together.

A Screen-Free, Family-Centred Day

The event invited families to enjoy a full day of interactive, hands-on activities, all designed to encourage connection and creativity in a screen-free environment. From canvas painting and crafting flower bouquets for mothers to engaging in fun games for children and teens, the event’s focus was on fostering meaningful family bonding moments.

The workshops allowed participants to express their creativity while also creating lasting memories. Families were given the space to share moments of joy, and children of all ages were able to experience the joy of crafting for a good cause.

Spiritual Enrichment and Warm Hospitality

The “Creating Memories” event wasn’t just about crafts and games – it was also a time of spiritual reflection. The programme included a short spiritual segment that reminded families of God’s unwavering love and the importance of nurturing relationships at home.

An event of this nature would not be complete without hospitality, and the volunteers from Paisley Sabbath School Branch went above and beyond in this area. Attendees were treated to a delicious array of food. Many participants expressed how welcomed they felt and how much they appreciated the thoughtful and well-organised event.

A Big Thank You to Volunteers

The UCI management team would like to express their thanks to the dedicated team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to plan and execute the day’s activities. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to service helped make the event a wonderful experience for all involved.

More to Come!

The UCI initiative will continue to develop throughout the year, with future events aimed at strengthening community ties, sharing faith, and offering practical support to those in need.

Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming projects as the UCI initiative continues to build a community of compassion, creativity, and Christ-centred connection!
