Paisley Women Find Strength in Scripture and Sisterhood

Designed to nurture faith and extend welcome, the latest Women’s Ministries gathering at Paisley united 17 women for an evening of meaningful discussion, spiritual reflection, and community connection.

The women of Paisley Seventh-day Adventist Church were recently blessed with an inspiring and spiritually enriching evening, organised by the church’s Women’s Ministries team. The event brought together 17 women for a time of fellowship, reflection, and community over a delightful barbecue.

This monthly gathering serves not only as a space for church members to reconnect but also offers an open invitation to women from the wider community. Notably, the group warmly welcomed a first-time visitor unfamiliar with the Adventist community, who expressed sincere interest in attending future events—highlighting the outreach impact of such gatherings.

A spiritual highlight of the evening was a thoughtful devotional that guided the women through the story of the Woman at the Well (John 4). The group explored the characteristics of this woman—her brokenness, her questions, and her transformative encounter with Jesus—and how her experience still speaks powerfully to women today.

The discussion invited deep reflection on themes such as:

  • God’s intentional pursuit of the lost

  • The importance of spiritual thirst and personal transformation

  • The worth and dignity of every woman, regardless of past mistakes

  • The role of women as messengers of the gospel

The conversation proved both insightful and relatable, inviting attendees to see elements of their own spiritual journeys mirrored in the biblical narrative.

Following the devotional, the group enjoyed an abundance of delicious food—classic BBQ favourites and homemade dishes—while continuing to build meaningful connections. Laughter, open conversation, and the joy of Christian sisterhood filled the evening, creating a memorable and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

This gathering was a beautiful example of how Women’s Ministry continues to serve as a bridge between faith and friendship, offering women a space for spiritual growth, support, and outreach.

The church family extends its gratitude to the ministry team for their leadership and hospitality, and gives thanks to God for the continued blessings and growth experienced through events like these.
