About the Job
The British Union Conference (BUC) of Seventh-day Adventists is looking for a cheerful, diligent, tactful, and friendly person who can undertake the role of Receptionist at its headquarters in Watford, England. The responsibility of the role is to provide a welcoming, helpful, and professional first contact for the BUC and includes the following:
- First point of contact for the BUC headquarters both in person, on the phone and online.
- Provide administrative support which includes oversight of incoming and outgoing post.
- Maintain general office supplies and light secretarial duties.

About You
To join us as Receptionist you will need at least:
- GCSE in Mathematics and English, or equivalent RQF Level 2, or willingness to train.
- Previous experience of working as Receptionist or face-to-face customer service.
- Microsoft Office software proficiency and handling of multi-line phone systems.
- Appropriate level of GDPR and data protection security awareness and confidentiality.

Employment Type: Full-time Permanent. Will consider Part-time.
Hours of Work: 36.75 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8:15am-5pm, and Friday 8:15am-12pm)
Benefits: £19,830 - £26,028 (Regional Weighting included) annual Seventh-day Adventist Church pay scale range. Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – contact Mrs Desiré Lewis for more information.
