A Sabbath of Prayer and Healing - Coming to Your Church

Sabbath, 11 July 2026

Many of our churches in Scotland are setting aside a special Sabbath dedicated to prayer and healing, centred on one simple yet profound truth: God desires wholeness for every one of us – body, mind, and spirit.

This is an invitation for everyone to come and receive, and to bring someone with them – a neighbour, a friend, a colleague, or anyone carrying a burden who may not know where to turn. This Sabbath is an opportunity to strengthen our church family while also extending Christ's invitation to our communities. Everyone is welcome.

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
3 John 1:2

This is God's desire for you – not merely the absence of illness, but the fullness of life.

Throughout Scripture, we see Jesus ministering to the whole person. He stopped for the woman who had suffered for twelve years and called her "daughter." He met Elijah in his exhaustion, not with rebuke but with rest and His gentle presence. He restored the leper who returned, bringing healing that reached far beyond the physical. He is the same God today.

On 11 July, participating churches will create space for that same encounter with Christ. Through worship, the preaching of God's Word, personal testimonies of healing and restoration, and dedicated times of prayer, this Sabbath has been designed to minister to every dimension of our lives.

Following the service, prayer stations will be available for anyone who would like personal prayer – for physical healing, emotional wholeness, spiritual renewal, or any other need. You are warmly invited to stay and receive prayer.

Come with expectation. Come with openness. Come to Jesus just as you are.

"The prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well... The Lord will raise them up."
James 5:15
