Crieff Churches Gather in Celebration of the Resurrection Hope

Marking Easter Sunday with worship and fellowship, churches across Crieff united to celebrate the hope and promise of the risen Christ.

On a beautiful Easter Sunday morning in Crieff, churches from across the community gathered at MacRosty Park for a time of worship, reflection, and fellowship. This year, the Seventh-day Adventist Church had the privilege of leading the service, sharing the hope and promise of Christ’s victory over death with friends from a variety of faith traditions.

The worship experience was further enriched by the presence of Pastor Paul Tompkins and Pastor Bobb Rodd, retired ministers and former Scottish Mission Presidents, who offered their support and encouragement throughout the gathering.

Pastor Renaldo Hines delivered an inspiring message based on the Emmaus story in Luke 24, reminding those in attendance that God draws near to us, listens to our hearts, and provides guidance and purpose for our lives. Through thoughtful reflection, Pastor Hines encouraged worshippers to embrace the new life made possible through Jesus’ resurrection—a life filled with hope, renewal, and the opportunity to walk faithfully in God’s plan each day.

The message culminated with the words of John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Many responded warmly, reflecting on the personal significance of Christ’s resurrection and the promise of eternal life.

Following the service, fellowship continued with a delightful breakfast at the Crieff Seventh-day Adventist Church. Lovingly prepared by members of the church, the meal provided a welcoming setting for attendees to share food, conversation, and fellowship, strengthening connections within the wider faith community.

It was a morning filled with gratitude, inspiration, and joy—a powerful reminder that the resurrection of Jesus is not only an event of the past, but a living promise of hope, renewal, and purpose for all who follow Him.
