Dundee Church Unites for a Day of Service and Care
Volunteers from Dundee Church, including children and young people, dedicated a day to caring for their church and grounds, fostering community, service, and a welcoming environment for all who use the facilities.
On Sunday, 7 September, volunteers from Dundee Seventh-day Adventist Church gave up their free time to roll up their sleeves and make a difference in their community.
A team of 22, including children and young people, spent the day caring for their church building and grounds — not just for themselves, but also for the groups who use the Barrie Centre and sanctuary throughout the week. From deep cleaning inside to tidying the exterior, the project ensured that the facilities were welcoming and safe for all.

“I joined out of gratitude for God’s blessings,” said one volunteer, jokingly adding, “and because there would be snacks.” Others felt called to action, seeing their efforts as a way to honour God and make the church a welcoming place for everyone who walks through the doors.
The initiative also gave young people the chance to experience the value of service while strengthening the sense of community within the church family.
Church leadership expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, stating “Your spirit of service is a true blessing and a shining example of what it means to belong to a caring, committed, and Christ-centred community.”
