Prof. John Walton’s Justice for Genesis: A Scientific Exploration offers a comprehensive and accessible examination of Genesis, combining historical, archaeological, and scientific insights to affirm its reliability, explore creation and miracles, and provide a resource for faith-building and apologetics.
Dundee member Prof. John Walton, Emeritus Professor of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews, has released a new book titled Justice for Genesis: A Scientific Exploration. Published by Andrews University Press, the book is now available in the UK through the LifeSource Christian Bookshop.
Prof. Walton draws on many years of research to explore the historical and scientific aspects of the book of Genesis. The book is a wide-ranging treatment of themes such as the reality of miracles and whether to believe or not to believe in God. It includes a novel approach to a young earth chronology, as well as archaeological discoveries authenticating historical aspects. It deals with topics such as humour in Genesis, the great ages of patriarchs, chemical space and the origin of life, and cooperation through all levels of nature as evidence of a rapid creation.
