Faifley Church Welcomes Local Community for Guest Day

Encouraging community connection, Faifley Church’s Guest Day drew a strong response and sparked interest in ongoing church life.

Faifley Seventh-day Adventist Church recently hosted a special Guest Day, extending an open invitation to the local community under the theme “Love Lives Here.”

In preparation for the event, flyers were distributed throughout the neighbourhood, inviting residents to attend. The response was highly encouraging, with a significant number of first-time visitors present. Attendance was so strong that the church reached full capacity, with no space left inside. Many visitors expressed genuine interest in the church’s worship, fellowship, and ongoing activities.

The Sabbath School team, together with church members, organised a meaningful and uplifting service. Through music, presentations, and careful coordination, each part of the programme reflected the central theme of love and community. The message was delivered by the local pastor, Ratko Risteski, bringing encouragement and inspiration to those in attendance.

Following the service, fellowship continued over a diverse lunch, enjoyed by members and visitors alike. The afternoon provided an additional highlight, as attendees gathered again to share in music, including a special concert that was well received.

The event served as a strong reminder of the value of community engagement and hospitality. It also created opportunities for new connections, with several visitors expressing interest in staying in touch and learning more.

As John Wesley once said, “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can…”—a timeless reflection on the importance of service beyond the walls of the church.

Similarly, Ellen G. White writes, “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good… then He bade them, ‘Follow Me.’”

Faifley Seventh-day Adventist Church continues to explore meaningful ways to connect with the local community, seeking to share a message of hope and belonging.
