Hope House Church Hosts “Mountain of Miracles” Vacation Bible School in Dunfermline

A vibrant three-day “Mountain of Miracles” Vacation Bible School brought children and teens together at Hope House SDA Church for faith-building stories, creative activities, and joyful worship.

From Wednesday 22 to Friday 24 October 2025, the Hope House Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dunfermline hosted a vibrant Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children and teens aged 2 to 16. The programme, themed “Mountain of Miracles,” was organised by Ms Levi, Mrs Matafeni, and Mrs Chipotera — dedicated members of the Dunfermline church who worked together to create an inspiring and memorable week for the young attendees.

Each day began in Jezreel Valley, where children were introduced to the day’s theme and enjoyed singing uplifting songs that set a joyful tone for the activities ahead.

At Prophets Peak, the Bible story station, participants explored the story of Elijah as he fled from Queen Jezebel. Through this powerful narrative, children learned that God is both a refuge and provider — One who fights their battles when they place their trust in Him.

The journey continued at Altar Alcove, the prayer station, where children were taught how to seek the Lord and speak to Him with confidence. The station emphasised being still, praying for oneself, interceding for loved ones, and praying selflessly for others. The children were reminded that they can communicate with Christ at any moment, wherever they may be.

Creativity flourished at Mt Carmel Crafts, where attendees engaged in hands-on activities linked to the daily themes. They showcased their artistic talents by making butterflies, New Year’s party poppers, and birds.

A clear favourite throughout the week was Raven Roost, the games station, which offered an array of engaging activities and new challenges each day.

As the programme drew to a close each afternoon, children visited Manna Munchies, the snack station, where healthy and delicious snacks were served before everyone gathered back at Jezreel Valley for the closing session. Excited and energised, the children left each day looking forward to returning to the “Mountain of Miracles.”

The “Mountain of Miracles” VBS programme concluded with a graduation ceremony, where young participants were presented with certificates acknowledging their dedication and development.
