Inverness Kids Club Strengthens Community Connections Through Family Outing

Inverness Kids Club welcomed new families and strengthened community ties through a day of fellowship, recreation, and relationship-building at Landmark Forest Adventure Park.

Around 30 children, parents, and volunteers from the Inverness Seventh-day Adventist Church Kids Club visited Landmark Forest Adventure Park on Sunday, 24 May, as part of the club's ongoing outreach to children and families in the Highlands. The outing provided opportunities for recreation, fellowship, and relationship-building, while supporting the church's wider commitment to nurturing faith and community among local families.

The day was warmly received by participants, with one volunteer describing the outing as "fruitful, encouraging, and spiritually uplifting."

A particularly encouraging development was the presence of two families from the local community who joined the club for the first time. Their participation was welcomed by organisers, who expressed a desire to continue building relationships with them through future church initiatives.

Pastor Wilfred Masih of Inverness Seventh-day Adventist Church said the Kids Club is an important expression of the church's commitment to discipleship and community engagement. Through regular activities and ongoing contact with families, the ministry creates opportunities for children and parents to experience Christian community, encounter love in action, and build relationships that support both personal and spiritual growth. He added that the club has become an important link between the church and the wider community, with many families returning regularly and helping to establish the church as a supportive presence in Inverness.

The Landmark outing formed part of the church's wider ministry of engagement and discipleship. Church leaders believe that this patient, relational, and community-focused approach is helping to build meaningful connections in Inverness and creating opportunities for deeper spiritual conversations. In this way, the Kids Club serves not only as a children's programme but also as an expression of the church's commitment to discipleship through presence and relationship.

Reflecting on the day, Naomi Chitaani, Children’s Ministries Leader, said: “We thank everyone who contributed to making the programme a success. May God continue to bless our efforts in reaching families and children for Christ.”
