Loch Ness Outing Strengthens Faith and Builds Community
A day at Loch Ness brought together members and friends of the Inverness Group to share faith, build connections, and witness God’s work in their lives.
On Sunday, July 13, members of the Inverness Church, along with friends and guests, gathered for a day at the world-famous Loch Ness. What began as a scenic outing soon turned into something deeper—a moving reminder that God meets us anywhere, even in the most unexpected places.
The day unfolded in three parts: a tranquil boat cruise, a shoreline picnic with shared testimonies, and light-hearted outdoor activities. But at the heart of it all was this truth: when our hearts are open, every place becomes a place to witness.
As the boat cruised across the calm waters of Loch Ness—surrounded by misty hills and steeped in whispered legends—Pastor Wil Masih offered a moment of reflection.
“Millions come here every year with faith that they might spot the Loch Ness Monster, even though no one has ever really seen it. That kind of belief, even without proof, mirrors our faith journey. Scripture tells us, ‘No one has seen God,’ yet countless lives are changed by trusting in Him.”
While some guests playfully scanned the loch with binoculars for any sign of "Nessie," most were drawn to the deeper meaning of the experience. For many new to the Inverness area, the event also served as a warm introduction to the region’s rich heritage and culture—and to a welcoming church community.
After the boat cruise, the group gathered at a quiet stretch of Lochend beach, where a picnic was laid out. But beyond the food, the true nourishment came in the form of shared stories. As plates were passed and laughter flowed, one by one, individuals opened up—recounting moments of healing, divine protection, and answered prayers.
To celebrate life and fellowship, some in the group dipped into the loch’s refreshing waters, while others organised a friendly 100-metre race along the pebbled beach.

As the sun began to set, the group paused to give thanks—for the beauty of creation, for friendship, and for the subtle yet powerful ways God had made His presence known throughout the day.
No one spotted "Nessie" that day. But what they witnessed was something far more powerful—faith in action, kindness in community, and God's unmistakable presence. On the boat, on the beach, and in every heart—He was there.
