Meaningful Moments Shared at Ladies Afternoon Tea

The Scottish Mission Women’s Ministries brought women together for an inspiring afternoon of connection, learning, and refreshment through their elegant and soul-nourishing “Fill My Cup, Lord” event.

On Sunday, 22 June, the Scottish Mission Women’s Ministries Department hosted a themed Ladies’ Afternoon Tea under the banner “Fill My Cup, Lord.” The event brought together women from across Scotland for a meaningful afternoon of fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual refreshment.

Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with the opportunity to have their photographs taken in their elegant formal attire, capturing joyful moments and radiant smiles.

The afternoon tea setting was warm and inviting, with delicately decorated tables, vintage teacups, thoughtful gift bags, and an abundant spread of refreshments. Lovingly prepared by volunteers, the afternoon tea included a wide variety of teas, cakes, scones, samosas, sandwiches, fresh fruit, and cheese boards—offering something for every taste and reflecting the care poured into the event.

The afternoon featured a varied programme, including an icebreaker, harmonious acapella rendition of “Fill my Cup, Lord”, and two insightful presentations: one on understanding the Menopause and another exploring the Five Love Languages. These sessions offered both practical guidance and spiritual insight, aligning perfectly with the event’s theme of being filled—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

It was especially moving to see women inviting their daughters and friends from their local communities along to share in the experience—strengthening bonds across generations and creating a welcoming space for all.

To support future events, a raffle was held, raising a wonderful £82 towards next year’s Afternoon Tea. The generosity and enthusiasm of those present added to the overall sense of community and purpose.

The event was a true blessing to all who attended—an opportunity to pause, connect, and be poured into.
