Paisley and Faifley Pathfinders Take on Dumyat Adventure
Young people from Paisley and Faifley Pathfinder clubs strengthened their outdoor skills and friendships during a rewarding hike in the Stirlingshire hills.
On 24 May, the Pathfinder clubs from Paisley and Faifley enjoyed a memorable outdoor adventure during a hiking trip to Dumyat in Stirlingshire. The day brought together young people and leaders for a shared experience of learning, teamwork, and appreciation of nature.
The Pathfinders spent the day hiking the Dumyat trail, taking in the beauty of the Scottish landscape under favourable weather conditions. The journey provided both physical challenge and enjoyment while offering valuable opportunities for personal growth and practical skill development.
Throughout the hike, participants took part in hands-on orienteering activities, learning how to use a compass and navigate confidently in the outdoors. They also received instruction in essential backpacking techniques and hiking skills, helping to build confidence and preparedness for future adventures.
The event was supported by leaders and staff from both churches, fostering a strong sense of unity and cooperation between the Pathfinder groups. The young people encouraged one another throughout the day, demonstrating friendship, resilience, and a positive team spirit.
The trip provided an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of Stirlingshire while strengthening bonds of fellowship and mutual support. It was an enjoyable and enriching experience that left participants with lasting memories and a greater appreciation for outdoor adventure and collaborative learning.
