Scottish Mission Welcomes New Pastor to Crieff and Dundee
With a lifelong calling to ministry and a heart for service, Pastor Renaldo Hines has joined the Scottish Mission pastoral team to serve the Crieff and Dundee churches.
The Scottish Mission is pleased to welcome Pastor Renaldo Hines to its pastoral team, where he will serve the Crieff and Dundee churches following Pastor Njabulo Ndlovu’s appointment as Youth Director at the British Union Conference earlier this year.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Pastor Hines has been based in Scotland since 2022 and brings with him a deep sense of calling shaped by faith, service, and international ministry experience.
“I felt called to ministry from a tender age,” he recalls. By six, he had discovered a passion for preaching, and the local Adventurer Club* provided early opportunities to explore and develop his skills and confidence, laying the foundation for the ministry he would later pursue. Pastor Hines went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Andrews University in 2017. Reflecting on his journey, he shares, “Doors kept opening, and I simply followed where I felt God was leading.”
Alongside his pastoral ministry, Pastor Hines has also worked within the healthcare sector, an experience that has strengthened his compassion and reinforced a relationship-centred approach to ministry and service. Beyond his ministry, Pastor Hines enjoys cooking, watching sports – especially cricket, road trips, and travelling.
Pastor Hines and his wife of four years, Delisa, are parents to two young children, Josiah (2) and Victoria-Rose (4 months). A strong advocate for nurturing and supportive family life, he believes that “the strength of the family determines the quality of life.”
When asked about his vision for ministry in Scotland, Pastor Hines shared: “My desire is to build relationships and meet people where they’re at and guide them where God wants them to be.”
Reflecting on the foundational principles that guide his life and ministry, Pastor Hines affirms, “Unless you change your thinking, you will always recycle your experiences,” underscoring the transformative power of renewed thought. He further shared “All of God’s biddings are His enablings,” emphasising his unwavering belief that every divine instruction is accompanied by God’s grace to fulfil it.
The Scottish Mission warmly welcomes Pastor Renaldo Hines and his family and anticipates the blessing his leadership and ministry will bring to the Crieff and Dundee churches and the Scottish Mission as a whole.
