Observed annually on 11 November, Remembrance Day, also known as Poppy Day, commemorates the end of hostilities in the First World War and honours the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces, as well as the contributions of civilian services and the lives of innocent civilians affected by conflict. The poppy, inspired by the flowers that grew on the battlefields of the First World War, remains a poignant symbol of remembrance, gratitude, and reflection for all those impacted by war.

The craft offered a creative way for the community to engage with the tradition while fostering reflection and conversation.
