West of Scotland Churches Celebrate District Day of Fellowship
West of Scotland Adventist churches gathered for a day of worship, fellowship, and community inspiration.
On Sabbath, 30 August 2025, Adventist churches across the West of Scotland gathered for a joyful District Day of Fellowship. Members from Irvine, Faifley, Paisley, and the Paisley Sabbath School Branch (Ukrainian Group) came together in worship, celebration, and mutual encouragement.
The day’s theme, “Connecting Christ with the Community,” highlighted the district’s shared mission. Pastor Jimmy Botha, President of the Scottish Mission, delivered the keynote address alongside his wife, Cedrene. He reminded attendees that connecting people with Christ is not just a church programme but the heartbeat of Christian witness, encouraging active service and outreach in local communities.

The Divine Service offered uplifting congregational singing, prayers, and inspiring music. Children took part with joyful stories and performances, demonstrating the role of all generations in advancing the church’s mission.
Fellowship continued over a potluck lunch, providing time to strengthen friendships, welcome newcomers, and enjoy a sense of community.

The afternoon programme featured a concert with music from across the district, alongside updates from each church about local ministries and mission initiatives. These presentations highlighted the ways congregations are serving God’s kingdom and building bridges with the wider community.

District pastor Ratko Risteski expressed gratitude to the Irvine Church for hosting and organising the event, saying, “The thoughtful programme and warm hospitality provided by Irvine Church made this day a true blessing.”
District Days of Fellowship, held regularly across the West of Scotland, provide opportunities for encouragement, inspiration, and unity. This recent fellowship was no exception. Attendees left the event renewed and energised, recommitted to sharing Christ’s love within their churches, neighbourhoods, and across the district.
