Dundee Church Focuses on Building Healthy and Prayerful Families

Dundee Seventh-day Adventist Church kicked off Family Week with a seminar, highlighting practical ways to build healthy, prayerful, and resilient families in today’s world.

On 14th February 2026, the Dundee Seventh-day Adventist Church enjoyed a blessed time of fellowship as the local Family Ministries Department hosted a seminar under the theme “Healthy and Prayerful Families in the Family of God.”

The programme was graced by Pastor Fitzroy Morris and his wife Neacha, alongside Scottish Mission Family Ministries Sponsors Oyetola and Temitayo Odewusi, who guided attendees through practical ways families can remain healthy, strong, and prayerful in today’s world.

The seminar highlighted the key traits of a healthy family, emphasising that strong families are built on commitment, appreciation, and affection. The presentation also stressed the importance of positive communication, spending quality time together, nurturing spiritual well-being, and developing the ability to manage stress and overcome crises.

The importance of prayer in the home was also underscored, noting that it fosters spiritual unity, models faith for children, and provides spiritual protection. As was affirmed during the session, “A family that prays together stays together.”

Following the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to engage with the theme during a panel discussion and Q&A session. The day’s programme also featured the inauguration of the Dundee Church Family Ministries Council, marking a new chapter in the church’s commitment to nurturing and strengthening families.

The seminar also marked the official launch of Family Week, running through 21st February 2026, featuring a series of uplifting programmes and activities for the whole church community.
