Glasgow Adventist Gospel Choir Sells Out Royal Concert Hall for Gospel and Charity
The Glasgow Adventist Gospel Choir’s sold-out performance at the Royal Concert Hall showcased a vibrant blend of gospel music, testimonies, and a strong partnership with Beatson Cancer Charity, reflecting the choir's mission to inspire hope and serve the community.
On June 28, 2025, the Glasgow Adventist Gospel Choir (GAGC) filled the Royal Concert Hall with spirit and song, performing to a sold-out crowd of over 300 people. Led by Maestro Samuel Cabral, the concert blended gospel music with testimonies and a message of hope, healing, and faith.
More than a performance, the event formed part of the Glasgow Church’s outreach strategy to creatively share the Good News and strengthen community ties — namely through its growing partnership with Beatson Cancer Charity, which began in 2024. Representatives from Beatson expressed heartfelt appreciation for the church’s ongoing support, noting how the year-long collaboration continues to bring hope, comfort, and practical help to individuals and families affected by cancer.
The audience was visibly moved, joining in songs like "Amen" and "Oh Happy Day." Attendees described the evening as “uplifting,” “spiritually moving,” and “filled with God’s presence.” One concertgoer noted, “I felt truly blessed. Every song was performed with such heart and purpose.”

For choir member and secretary Adina Lupu, GAGC is more than music—it’s a ministry. She shared, “Being part of the GAGC is a unique experience. It has strengthened my faith and drawn me closer to God. It’s extraordinary to witness how doors are opening for us to minister to the community through our concerts. This inspires me to boldly ask God for more opportunities for the choir to make a difference in Glasgow and beyond.”
Pastor Claudiu Popescu, who initiated the partnership with Beatson, emphasised the choir's role in enriching church life and fostering community engagement. He observed that since the choir’s establishment, a vibrant worship life has fuelled growth in discipleship, member development, evangelism, missions, social outreach, and fellowship within the church community.
The concert marked GAGC’s second appearance at the venue. Their next concert is scheduled for September 6, 2025, at 7 PM at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in East Kilbride.
Reflecting on the evening, guest speaker Pastor Steve Mackenzie highlighted the importance of ministries like GAGC—those that extend beyond performance to unite music, mission, and meaningful community engagement.
