Scottish Mission Youth Mark Year-End with Worship, Fun, and Fellowship
Celebrating a year of growth and service, the Scottish Mission Youth hosted their annual Year-End Banquet in Dundee, uniting faith, fellowship, and fun.
Marking the close of the year, the Scottish Mission Youth came together on December 6th for their annual Year-End Banquet at the Landmark Hotel in Dundee for a time of reflection, worship, fellowship, and celebration.
The evening opened with the introduction of the banquet’s theme inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:1: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.” Guests were reminded that every season — whether filled with joy or challenge — carries meaning, and that God’s presence is constant throughout them all. The spring-coloured decorations and vibrant theme symbolised hope, renewal, and anticipation for the year ahead.

Bringing the programme to life, table challenges encouraged creativity and teamwork, while musical performances set a reflective tone, followed by a recap video celebrating the achievements of youth across Scotland offering a moment to pause and reflect on God’s goodness. A three-course meal gave participants a chance to relax, while the striking balloon-arch backdrop and Scottish Mission neon sign created memorable photo opportunities.

The banquet resumed with a soulful saxophone rendition of “I Give Myself Away”, setting a reflective yet uplifting tone. This was followed by an energetic dance competition that reignited everyone’s competitive spirit, with tables cheering each other on. The planning team added a thoughtful surprise with a skit centred on Ecclesiastes 3:1, reinforcing the banquet’s message of valuing every season of life.
An additional highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony, which celebrated the achievements and dedication of youth members across the Mission. It was a heart-warming moment that highlighted the growth, service, and leadership shown throughout the year.
As the evening drew to a close, Scottish Mission Youth Leader, Crystal Masih, led guests to the picturesque outdoor maze for a final toast and reflection. Her powerful closing charge — “May we be braver, kinder, and more patient” — encouraged everyone to carry the banquet’s message into the year ahead.
The night concluded with a joyful celebration on the dance floor, marking the close of a wonderful evening and a year of growth within the Scottish Mission. May 2026 continue to bring huge blessings, strength, and unity among our youth!
