Crieff and Dundee Churches Celebrate Special Milestone with Their Pastoral Family

A joyful baby dedication brought together family, friends and church members as Pastor Renaldo and Delisa Hines dedicated their daughter, Victoria-Rose, to God.

An atmosphere of celebration filled the Dundee Seventh-day Adventist Church as the Hines family made their way to the front. Their coordinated purple outfits beautifully complemented baby Victoria-Rose's white dress, adorned with a large bow that gave her the appearance of a little princess. Fittingly, on this special Sabbath, 30 May 2026, her parents publicly dedicated her to God, pledging to raise her to know and love Him.

The service was made especially meaningful by the participation of family friend and fellow minister Pastor Fitzroy Morris, who shared words of encouragement and challenge before Victoria-Rose was dedicated in prayer.

For the dedicatory prayer, pastors and elders gathered around the Hines family, including Scottish Mission president Pastor Jimmy Botha and his wife, Cedrene, who were present for the service. Following the dedication, children from the church entered the sanctuary singing, warmly welcoming their newest young church family member.

After Pastor Morris's sermon, members and guests continued the celebration over a fellowship lunch in a beautifully decorated youth hall.

The family expressed their gratitude for the warmth and support shown to them. Having been introduced to the Dundee and Crieff congregations only this January, they were deeply encouraged by the outpouring of love that marked this special occasion.

Reflecting on Victoria-Rose's birth, Pastor Renaldo spoke movingly of his gratitude to God for entrusting such a precious gift to their family. Delisa recalled trying to picture what her daughter would look like before she was born. When Victoria-Rose arrived, she was completely different from the child Delisa had imagined, but, as she put it, "she was perfect."

As the congregation affirmed its commitment to support the Hines family in nurturing both Victoria-Rose and Josiah in the Christian faith, the service served as a reminder that raising children is not only a family responsibility but also a shared privilege of the church community.
