On October 5th, a momentous occasion took place at the Irvine church as Gabriella took the step of baptism, marking a profound transformation in her life. Her journey, from growing up in a secular environment to embracing Jesus as her Saviour, is a powerful testament to God’s work and the power of faith.
Gabriella’s early life was shaped by a loving, warm, and stable family home. However, like many others, her family’s worldview was primarily materialistic, and the presence of Jesus in their lives was absent. “Everything was based around a materialistic viewpoint, with the void of not knowing Jesus,” Gabriella reflects. “I was living the life, listening to MTV music, hip hop, pop, dance, Disney, and musical theatre where I received the star award—everything this world offers you to stop you from knowing Jesus!”
It wasn’t until Gabriella began attending church with her mother at the age of 8 that she was first introduced to the message of Jesus. Her heart began to open, and at the age of 10, after witnessing the remarkable transformation in her parents' lives, Gabriella made the decision to accept Jesus into her own heart. “I made the decision to drop all the worldly attractions, as God was showing me a new life,” she shares.
For Gabriella, baptism was a life-changing commitment, and in her words, the best decision she’s ever made. "Getting baptised was the best decision I have ever made in my life," she says. "I continue to hold on to Him in every step of my Christian journey."
What made Gabriella’s baptism even more special was the opportunity to witness her little sister, Savannah, getting dedicated on the same day. The bond of faith that they share has deepened their commitment to follow Jesus together. "We just want to follow Jesus," Gabriella says, her words reflecting the strength of her faith.
