Glasgow Church Holds Uplifting Fourth Quarter Night of Prayer

On November 16th, nearly 35 members of Glasgow Church gathered for the Fourth Quarter Night of Prayer, marking another impactful evening of worship, prayer, and fellowship.

The evening began with songs of praise followed by church member Mercy’s message focused on Abraham’s journey of faith—his triumphs, struggles, and God’s unwavering faithfulness to His promises. The members were encouraged to trust in God’s Word and His perfect timing, especially during moments when His promises seem delayed and circumstances appear uncertain.

The “Circle of Blessings” prayer time provided a meaningful opportunity for members to share their personal prayer requests. One by one, participants took a seat at the centre of the circle, allowing others to intercede on their behalf. Prayers were lifted for a variety of needs, including healing, protection for loved ones, a deeper connection with God, clarity in understanding God's will, the emotional and spiritual well-being of children, and wisdom in navigating life’s challenges.

The testimonies shared that evening highlighted the profound ways God had moved in the lives of individuals—bringing healing, offering protection, and providing clear divine guidance. Church member Rodney delivered a message on the theme of encouragement, focusing on Barnabas and his ministry in the life of Paul. His deep insights sparked meaningful conversations, leading to the realisation that encouragement is a gift from God, stemming from a heart that looks at others with love and seeks to uplift them. The importance of parents and mentors in fostering the development of children was also emphasised, highlighting the vital role they play in offering encouragement throughout their growth journey.

The evening drew to a close with a devotional from church member Enock, titled “Till I Want No More.” He reminded the attendees that God’s resources are abundant and can meet our deepest needs. Reflecting on Hannah’s prayer in 1 Samuel chapter 2, Enock encouraged everyone to approach God with fervency, trusting that just as God remembered and blessed Hannah, He is equally able and willing to meet our needs. The message offered an opportunity for personal reflection, as participants were invited to find quiet spaces within the church to commune with God in prayer.

The night ended with songs and more prayer for both personal and collective needs, including the church’s ongoing efforts to build a new church.

Reflecting on the night of prayer, one attendee shared, "At the end of the night, I truly felt blessed and uplifted," while another described the event as "reviving, awakening, encouraging, and empowering." Participants felt motivated by witnessing the genuine care people had for one another, especially during the prayer request time.

The next night of prayer is already highly anticipated, with members looking forward to another opportunity to gather in faith and worship. Glasgow Church’s Prayer Ministry continues to work to provide spiritual strength, foster unity, and deepen faith among its members.
