Scottish Mission Women's Day of Fellowship

Interactive, intergenerational Scottish Women’s Day of Fellowship took place on Sabbath, 6th of May, with approximately 125 women in attendance.
The praise and worship team and special items were phenomenal. It is so great to see women using their gifts.
The morning session included group discussion and gave women the opportunity to share their faith journeys with one another. The young ladies who facilitated the discussions used a creative approach involving a dice and a set of six questions to encourage participants to talk about their faith. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive:
“I was surprised by how much interaction there was and very moved by how willing the women were to share their vulnerabilities, experiences and wisdom”.
“There was a real sense of belonging and community, I felt that what I had to share was valued and seen as worthy”.
Messages of hope were shared by two young women, Kuda and Rhoda. Their Spirit-led talks had everyone laughing, crying, and mind-blown by how awesome the God we serve is.
The afternoon session provided space for the exploration of some challengings topics led by a panel of speakers.
One of the event organisers, Simone Coetser, challenged the ladies in attendance to connect with someone they had not met before. She says: "The ladies really rose to that challenge. It was beautiful to see all ages of women sitting and eating and conversing with one another. Women who have never met before were forging friendships and talking about ensuring that they see each other at the Women’s Retreat in October 2023."
The Scottish Mission Women's Retreat is taking place on 6-8 October 2023 in Glasgow. Further details to be shared in due course.
